KWizCom product un-install steps for SharePoint 2010/2013

Overview

Un-installing KWizCom products completely from your SharePoint 2010/2013 environment involves:

1.    Deleting any resources (List, Libraries, sites, etc.) created when activating the feature in the SharePoint site collection or site features.  If there are no resources associated with the product, you can skip this step. Read “Delete KWizCom product resources” for more information

2.    Retracting and deleting the .WSP files associated with the product in the “Solution Management” menu of your SharePoint 2010/2013 Central Administration.

Ex: This example displays KWizCom SharePoint Calendar Plus web part and Foundation components currently installed in the “Solution Management” menu.  You will need to need retract and remove the following components:
- Product WSP (kwizcom sharepoint calendarplus web part professional v14.3.00 evaluation.wsp)
- KWizCom Foundation WSP (kwizcom sharepoint foundation v13.3.54.wsp)

 

 

KWizCom Product component

1.    In your SharePoint 2010/2010 Central administration go to “System settings” and open the “Solution Management” menu”

2.    Open a KWizCom product you want to uninstall from the Solution management list.

3.    Click on the “Retract Solution” link to open a new retraction menu with options

4.    Choose

a.    Retraction When? è Now

b.    Retract From? è All web application

 

5.    After the KWizCom product component has been retracted the KWizCom product status will display “Not deployed”

6.    Open the KWizCom product from the Solution management list again

7.    Click on the “Remove Solution” link to remove the KWizCom product component

8.    The KWizCom product component has now been uninstalled and removed from your Solution management list

Uninstall KWizCom Foundation component

1.       From the Solution management list, open the KWizCom Foundation component

2.    Click on the “Retract Solution” link to open a new retraction menu with options

3.    Choose

a.    Retraction When? è Now

b.    Retract From? è All web application

c.    If the status still displays “deployed”, this usually means you need to need to select your central administration web application from explicitly from the “Retract From?” option

 

4.    After the KWizCom product component has been retracted the KWizCom product status will display “Not deployed”

5.    Open the KWizCom Foundation component from the Solution management list again

6.    Click on the “Remove Solution” link to remove the KWizCom Foundation component

7.    The KWizCom Foundation component has now been uninstalled and removed from your Solution management list
