This article outlines the steps on how to configure KWizCom Calendar Plus web part to assign categories to new calendar entries.

Example:

The category colors are assigned to the entries and can be seen through Outlook [Image 1], but the category colors are not showing when viewing the event through Calendar Plus [Image 2]

Resolution

1. Calendar Plus supports rendering Outlook events, and coloring them according to categories that were assigned using Outlook. It does not allow end-users to categorize events from the web part.

2. You can find property "Category color mapping" in "OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS (OWA)" section in the Calendar web part settings. (See image below). The property allows you to color Outlook events by category. Note: This is only available for OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS (OWA) and not for Outlook desktop client.
