Summary

When you create a WikiPlus site template, you get the following error:

Product & Version

WikiPlus for SharePoint 2007

Version: 2.X.X and below

WikiPlus for SharePoint 2010

Version: 12.X.X and below

Symptom

This error occurs even if there were no error during installation. When you create a WikiPlus site template you will get the error in the picture above.

Resolution

There are two resolution options:



Option one

During installation some resource files were not copied to your the App_GlobalResources folder. You will need to copy them manually.

For SharePoint 2007:



 1. Copy the files wikiplus.en-us.resx, wikiplus.resx from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\Resources folder

2. Paste them in the App_GlobalResources folder located C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80



3. Paste the resx files in the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\CONFIG\Resources



4. Paste the resx files in the following folders: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Resources



5. Run the following command from an elevated command prompt with admin privileges: stsadm -o copyappbincontent



6. Perform an iisreset or recycle the application pool of the site you are trying to create the wiki plus page on

 

For SharePoint 2010:

1. Copy the files wikiplus.en-us.resx, wikiplus.resx from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\KWizCom_WikiPlus\Resources folder

2. Paste them in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\Resources folder 

3. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\CONFIG\Resources

4. Run the following command from an elevated command prompt with admin privileges: stsadm -o copyappbincontent

5. Perform an iisreset or recycle the application pool of the site you are trying to create the wiki plus page on

Option 2

Download and run the following utility on your server to copy the resources files automatically.
